Holy Monastery of Agios Nektarios

Nestled among the lush slopes of the Pierian Mountains, near the village of Palaiogratsano, the Holy Monastery of Agios Nektarios invites you to discover the newest monastic foundation of the Holy Metropolis of Servia and Kozani. Established in 2006 by the late Archimandrite Avgoustinos Myrou, the monastery occupies a privileged hillside setting, offering sweeping views across the Kozani basin, the artificial Lake Polyfytos, and the surrounding mountain ranges. The monastic complex includes the central katholikon, dedicated to Agios Nektarios, the guesthouse (archontariki), the abbot’s quarters, and the monks’ cells. On the first floor of the church, you will also discover the Chapel of Agios Silouanos the Athonite, a peaceful place for prayer and contemplation. Surrounded by nature and embraced by an atmosphere of serenity, the monastery invites you to pause, reflect, and experience its quiet spiritual character.
