How to reach West Macedonia

West Macedonia is closer than you might imagine. You can easily reach the region by road via the A2 Motorway (Egnatia Odos) and its vertical axes, which connect it with Northern, Central, and Southern Greece. Access is further enhanced by the E65 and the A5 Motorway (Ionia Odos), making journeys from Athens, as well as from eastern and western parts of the country, faster and more convenient.

If you prefer to travel by air, you can fly from Athens to the airports of Kozani and Kastoria, while Florina is connected by rail to major urban centres across Greece. For international arrivals, Thessaloniki International Airport “Makedonia” is the nearest gateway, located within easy driving distance of West Macedonia’s main destinations.
