Pavlos Melas Museum

In the village of Melas, the historic house where Pavlos Melas was assassinated in 1904 hosts a collection of uniforms, weapons, and photographs from the Macedonian Struggle, honoring the memory of its most prominent figure. The historic two-storey building is an exemplary case of Koresteia architecture, with a stone-built ground floor, adobe upper floor, and tiled roof. Its interiors, austere yet historically charged, give visitors the sense of being in a place where history is ever-present.
