Waterfalls in Mesolouri
A short distance from the centre of the traditional mountain settlement of Mesolouri, you will discover a particularly beautiful natural attraction: the village waterfalls. Following a short, well-maintained stone-paved path of approximately 600 metres through a lush green landscape, you will reach three successive waterfalls, measuring 3, 2.5 and 5 metres in height. Their waters fill natural cavities and form small pools, creating a setting that resembles a cinematic backdrop. The place is known as “Vyros tis Sterianas”, after the legend of a young woman who is said to have ended her life here, driven to despair due to an unfulfilled love. This environment, with its remarkable natural beauty and ecological value, offers moments of tranquillity and opportunities for peaceful walks. If you are brave enough, you may even dive into their crystal-clear, icy waters. The waterfalls are more than a point of interest; they are a symbol of the village and one of the most distinctive natural treasures of Grevena.
