“Foufia” Festival & Potato Festival
If you visit Eordaia in the summer, do not miss the “Foufia” Festival in July, where local culture meets gastronomy. Organised by the Cultural Association of Foufas in collaboration with the Municipality of Eordaia and the Region of Western Macedonia, the festival is dedicated to the village’s renowned potatoes. Here, local women prepare and offer traditional dishes centred around the celebrated local product, while cultural associations present traditional dances. The programme also includes games and creative activities for children, making it a welcoming event for all ages. Over the course of three lively days, music, local flavours, and community spirit combine to create one of the area’s most enjoyable summer celebrations.
