Rodani

In the past, Easter in Kastoria was marked by the appearance of the Rodani, a sturdy wooden swing with red decorations that brought life to the neighbourhoods, in the days before amusement parks existed. It was set up in small neighborhood squares, known as megntania, from Holy Monday until Thomas Sunday, becoming a gathering point for young and old alike for play, conversation, and fun. Today, you may see the Rodani revived every Easter in Apozari, thanks to the local cultural association.
