Rodani
In the past, Easter in Kastoria was marked by the appearance of the Rodani, a sturdy wooden swing decorated with red elements that brought life to the neighbourhoods long before the era of amusement parks. It was set up in small neighbourhood squares, known as megdania, from Holy Monday until Thomas Sunday, becoming a gathering point for young and old alike for play, conversation, and fun. Today, the Rodani is revived every Easter in the Apozari district, under the care of the local cultural association, keeping this cherished tradition alive.
