“Antonis Fotiou” Folklore Museum of Argos Orestiko

A visit to Argos Orestiko is best rounded off at the “Antonis Fotiou” Folklore Museum, a true cultural treasure created through the collaboration of the municipality and local cultural and social associations. Built on land donated by the Fotiou family, the museum is dedicated to the painter and scholar Antonis Fotiou (1919–2002), whose vision inspired the collection and preservation of the region’s folkloric heritage. Traditional costumes, tools, household objects, photographs, documents, and handcrafted items come together to tell the story of everyday life and the social history of the area, preserving its collective memory and celebrating the cultural identity of Argos Orestiko. It is a place well worth visiting.
