Bousios Mill
At the western edge of Grevena stands Bousios Mill, an iconic monument of the city’s industrial history. Built in the 19th century, it belonged to the Bousios family and is associated with Georgios Bousios, an important political figure of his time. The three-story mill, constructed of stone, brick, and wood, stands out for its rare architectural features. It once operated using the waters of the Grevenitis River and, during the summer months, with a steam engine. Inside were both production areas and offices, as well as the family’s residence. Today, only the southern section survives, with a few traces of interior wall paintings. The building now belongs to the Municipality and is intended for cultural use — a small yet valuable link bridging the city’s past and present.
