Cave Church of Agios Nikolaos “Kremastos”
Built into a rocky crevice and seemingly clinging to the cliff face, the Chapel of Agios Nikolaos “Kremastos” is one of the area’s most striking sights, appearing to float in mid-air as it defies gravity. As you climb the 150 steps leading to it, you are rewarded with breathtaking views over the cliffs, the surrounding caves and wild vegetation, as well as sweeping panoramas of the nearby villages, Lake Orestiada, and Mount Grammos.
