Church of Agios Nikolaos in Vevi

At the edge of the village of Vevi, the Church of Agios Nikolaos stands simple yet imposing, dating back to 1460 when, according to its founding inscription, it was built as part of a monastic complex. Its frescoes, painted by itinerant artists of the so-called Ohrid School, are preserved in remarkable condition and represent one of the most significant examples of post-Byzantine art in West Macedonia.
