This impressive three-aisled basilica, measuring 24 × 14 metres, was built in 1861 on the foundations of an earlier church, as confirmed by the carved marble inscription preserved on its southern wall—a lasting reminder of the site’s long spiritual history.Step inside and discover the side chapels dedicated to Agios Nikolaos and Agios Ioannis the Theologian, which reflect the church’s distinctive liturgical and symbolic character, as well as valuable icons painted by artists from the village of Chionades in Epirus.
