Digital Jewish Museum of Kastoria

The Digital Jewish Museum of Kastoria is a virtual museum dedicated to the Jewish community of Kastoria, a community with deep roots in the area that became a vital part of the city during the 19th and 20th centuries, reaching a population of around 2,000 members before its near-total destruction during the Holocaust. Through photographs, oral testimonies, a digital 3D exhibition, and the documentary “Trezoros: The Lost Jews of Kastoria”, which recounts the era of pre-war innocence, the harsh years of Occupation, and the brutality of the Holocaust, you shall encounter faces, families, moments of peaceful everyday life and creativity, as well as the devastating face of war— a tragedy that must not be forgotten, so that it is never repeated.
