Double Dance in Milia

The “Double Dance”, organised by the village’s Cultural and Athletic Association in the courtyard of the Church of Agios Constantinos and Agia Eleni, is one of the region’s most distinctive celebrations. The dance takes its name from the impressive way the circles — one circle of men and one circle of women— “double up” in order to unite. Accompanied by live traditional music, participants dance and sing, bidding farewell to the Easter season.
