Ethnological and Folklore Museum of Lechovo “Georgios Gorantis”

Founded in 1976 by the “Prophet Elijah” United Association of Lechovo Residents, the museum has been housed since 1984 in the rear wing of the Urban School building, overlooking the village square. It bears the name “Georgios Gorantis” in honour of its founder, recognising his lifelong dedication to preserving the village’s cultural heritage. During your visit, you will discover historical documents, tools, textiles, stone artefacts, traditional costumes, and household objects that offer a vivid glimpse into everyday life in earlier times. You will also be impressed by the museum’s ecclesiastical collection, which features rare liturgical books dating from 1600 to 1850.
