Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi in Milochori

Just fifteen minutes from Ptolemaida, on the borders of Milochori and Foufas, you will encounter the Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi. It is built on the foundations of a Byzantine church also dedicated to Agia Paraskevi, at a site indicated in 1932 by a local resident, Chryssoula Konti, following a vision she is said—according to tradition—to have had with the Saint. Today, it stands as an important religious centre for the wider region. The monastery’s celebrations are held on July 26th, attracting crowds from all places, nearby or not. Within the monastery complex, you will also find several chapels dedicated to Agia Kyriaki, Agios Ignatius the God-Bearer, Agios Nektarios, and the Life-giving Spring, enhancing the site’s serene and devotional atmosphere.
