Hot Air Balloons in Pentalofos

On Clean Monday, the sky above Pentalofos fills with colourful hot-air balloons in one of Voio’s most impressive customs. Residents craft the balloons by hand using paper and glue, heat them at the base with a flame, and release them into the sky, creating a captivating spectacle. Some even carry satirical messages commenting on current events. The day is also marked by traditional music and Lenten delicacies, including bean soup, halva, and olives, prepared by the women of the Cultural Association.
