Servia Gorge
Myths, local traditions, and striking natural formations come together in the Servia Gorge, also known as “Chouni.” The experience begins at the Church of Agioi Anargyroi, immediately drawing you into a landscape that feels almost mythical. Along the way, waterfalls plunge dramatically—some from heights of up to 11 metres—while lush riverside vegetation and towering rock formations create an ever-changing scenery. Over time, erosion has shaped the cliffs into fascinating forms, giving rise to names such as the “Petrified King” and the “Eagle,” further enriching the experience. Midway through the route, the gorge opens up to reveal sweeping views of Lake Polyfytos and the impressive Servia Bridge—a moment where nature, geology, and human engineering come together in a single, breathtaking panorama.
