Turkish School
It may come as a surprise that Servia was home to an Ottoman secondary school until the early 20th century. Considered one of the region’s leading educational institutions, it attracted students from affluent families across the surrounding area, many of whom aspired to careers in the Ottoman civil service. The school was commissioned by Halil Pasha after Servia was declared the seat of the sanjak. Today, the Turkish School serves as an exhibition space, while preserving its historical significance as the only surviving public building from the flourishing Servia of the late 19th century.
