Valmas
Following the Tranos Choros, the celebrations in Kleisoura continue with the Valmas, held in the courtyard of the Church of Agios Nikolaos. This is an old pastoral game played exclusively by men, symbolising the resistance of the valmades (horse herders) against the oppression of the kehagias (overseers) and rooted in deep folk traditions and local myths. Once the 20-minute game comes to an end, the square turns into a lively gathering, filled with songs, dancing, and wine.
