Vergoula Mansion
Just a few metres from the lake, overlooking the water with exceptional views, stands one of Kastoria’s most well-known mansions: the Vergoula Mansion. Built in 1850 by master builder Anastasios Vergoulas, its interior layout reflects the needs of everyday life in the 19th century, combining a cross-shaped central hall with four corner rooms—a defining feature of third-type mansions. Today, the mansion has been transformed into a vibrant space for arts and culture, hosting exhibitions and events that bring the city’s heritage into conversation with the present.
