Yapraki Festival
On the eve of Christmas, the central square of Servia fills with warmth, hospitality, and festive spirit during the Yiapraki Festival. In an atmosphere of joy and goodwill, generous portions of traditional dishes are shared, including yiaprakia (stuffed cabbage rolls made with armia—pickled cabbage leaves—rice, and minced meat) and kourabiedes (shortbread-type biscuits, usually made with ground almonds), along with pies and wine, in a long-standing community gathering that brings everyone together. Locals and visitors come together as one, while music and dances performed by cultural associations energise the crowd and fill the square with the rhythms of tradition, turning the celebration into a shared moment of togetherness and festive delight.
